Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026. The short version: the documents you convert are never sent to us, because there is nowhere to send them.

1. The files you convert

Files you select in the converter are read by your own browser using the JavaScript File API and parsed locally by PDF.js. At no point is the file's content transmitted over a network. We do not receive it, cannot access it, and have no facility to store it.

The spreadsheet you export is generated in memory in your browser and handed to your browser's normal download mechanism. It is saved wherever your browser saves downloads.

Because no document reaches us, there is no retention period, no deletion process, and no data processing agreement required for document contents. Closing the tab discards everything the page held in memory.

2. What is collected automatically

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages receives standard request information: your IP address, the page requested, a user-agent string and a timestamp. This is used to serve the page and to keep the service running, and is retained in server logs for a short period for security and abuse purposes.

We do not operate cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, session recording, or a marketing pixel.

3. Cookies and advertising

The converter itself sets no cookies and uses no local storage for your documents.

This site is supported by display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Advertising networks never receive the contents of a document you convert, because that content never leaves your browser.

4. Analytics

Tool pages do not include third-party analytics scripts. Aggregate traffic statistics, where available, come from server logs and contain no document data.

5. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

6. Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data a service holds about you. We hold no document data. For server log data, contact us and we will explain what is retained and for how long.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially — for example if a future version of the converter were to introduce any server-side processing — the date at the top of this page will change and the change will be described here. Any such change would also be visible immediately in your browser's Network panel, which is a more reliable signal than any policy text.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy: use the contact page or email hello@mergaset.com.
